We have been made aware that there is a fake news story circulating, in certain printed and online publications, which is inaccurately making allegations that the Transnet medical fund is bankrupt. We can confirm that this is absolutely not true and is not based on any fact. The Transmed Medical Fund is stable and there is no risk to our members.

While Transmed itself was not explicitly named in this fake news statement, the Principal Officer and Board of Trustees wish to assure its members and the public at large that Transmed's financial status is sound, as evidenced by the recent financial results,
which were distributed as part of the AGM notification.

To ensure all our members receive this message, Transmed did opt to send an SMS to its members to assure them that it was aware of the unsubstantiated articles and that the scheme's financials are in good standing.
